-The type of apartment that you want to rent - basement, part of a house, small building, high rise, studio/bachelor, multi-bedroom\
-Choosing an area to live in - what town/city and then the specific neighbourhood\
-Your budget - what can you afford?  \
-Additional costs involved, such as:\
1. first and last months rent\
2. security deposit\
3. utilities - included or not?  \
4. renters insurance\
5. deposits on bills for new accounts \
6. gas, hydro, water, phone, internet, cable\
7. furnishing your apartment - think anything and everything from a couch to your toothpaste\

We\'92ll go through some of these again as a group but I would like you to start thinking about the other side of a rental agreement.  The Landlord.  We\'92re going to take a look at the Ontario Tenants Act.  This is very important information for you to know about your rights and the rights of your landlord. \
